Before/After Photo

I have always loved and benefitted from ‘before and after’ image tutorials.

I learned how to achieve specific editing skills from them.  You can find this type of tutorial by putting ‘before after portrait edit’  (or insert ‘landscape’ or whatever style of photography you desire) into Google or Google Image.
I am not adept at explaining my editing process or Photoshop style.   While my methods works for me, I am self taught and a little sloppy with Photoshop use so I probably will not give actual tutorial.

I simply wanted to share a before/ after to show how Photoshop can enhance an image.

Here is the BEFORE:

….and the AFTER:

(If I had my time again with this photo, I would tone down the skin ‘glow’ in the ‘after’ image.)

I love the editing process as much as the taking of the image.  My introvert loves to have something quiet and painstaking to be absorbed by.

For me- skin tones, sharp eyes and getting the light looking as magical as it did in real life are what I strive to achieve in Photoshop.
Do you love before/ after shots?

Love this! What a magical after image! I would question your decision to lose so many of her freckles though… surely that’s part of her appearance, and not an unattractive part?

Yes, that is what I was referring to with the glow edit I did…. It was a learning process and I have now ‘learned’ to tone it down more. 🙂 We should do a sunset shoot together soon, Jessica!

I’d love to! And maybe I should crash one of your post-processing sessions one time too… in spite of my small comment, I actually think that the overall effect of your editing is just superb, and I am super impressed!
